  1. I live in Lincoln, and every time I go by this Home Depot it brings a tear to my eye. I should go investigate the area a little more and see if I can find ANYTHING hinting to the former Kmart that was once here. Other than, as you can see in the picture, you can clearly see where the restaurant area of the store was, and it still looks the same today!

    1. I wonder if there are any fixtures left inside like signage for the grocery section and refrigerators. The grocery side of the store continues to be left empty, right? I can tell this is a early to mid 1990s store.

  2. That's a great question, I should try to take a look inside. As far as I can tell the windows aren't covered up or anything, so I should be able to see right in. I'll have to check it out!

  3. Kmart has a lot of nostalgic value for me. I worked there in the early 90s during high school, and later in the early 2000s after the military during college.

    My friend's grandma worked there in the bakery and I remember in Jr High going there.

    We have a Kmart in Omaha I like to go in there, it brings back a few memories but isnt quite the same as the super kmart.
