This store is located at 595 Straits Turnpike in Watertown, Connecticut. This Kmart was updated to a Big Kmart in the 1990s, But no signage was replaced and only the inside saw some improvements. The store still looks like this now and is also the 13th Smallest Kmart Store with 45,466 square feet.

  1. Wow, great find. I wish I could make it to this store to see this 1980's style lettering.

  2. Its quite the amazing store. The inside shows its age, with a old school courtasy desk and about 5 registers total. The garden shop is very old school with a old time layaway department. This became a Big K and they cramped the isles in order to do so. The grocery section is tiny and cramped. Its an amazing time warp and the Kmart I grew up with.

  6. There is a Kmart up in Burlington or South Burlington, Vermont that still has the pre-1990 sign on the building at the Burlington Plaza. However, the road sign has been updated to the current logo.
